Melanie C of Toronto, Ontario, Canada knit a wonderful version of the #66 Beautiful Cabled Baby Sweater for her little daughter.
She used Sirdar Tweedie Chunky in color Fleck (shade 286). Here are her comments on the project:
“I LOVE that the whole piece is knitted in one piece. I can’t tell you how much I hate knitting 2 sleeves, a front, a back and sometimes, a collar.
It’s very hard to visualize the finished product when everything is apart and curled up on the edges. With this sweater, I just had to lay it flat while still on the needles and I could see what I have to look forward to. This really motivated me to knit faster to finish." -- Melanie
LOVE the look of this pattern in a tweedy yarn. Adorable photos!!! Hope she gets lots of wear from it. At some point, it becomes a chic 3/4 sleeve cardi!
And this lovely #98 Lush Button-Up Cowl looks fabulous in an autumny shade from Claudia of Topanga, California.
She used The Fibre Company Organik yarn in color Magma.
"This is a fun cowl and I love how it can be worn as a collar for a more casual look.
I found the pattern easy to follow and yet it still had enough design elements to keep it interesting and best of all I love the finished look!" -- Claudia, her blog is The Knitting Blog By Mr. Puffy The dog
Thanks, Claudia, for sharing your photos! The Cowl is a great accent that can be worn so many different ways because of the buttons, IMHO.
