Here's a beautiful version of the #98 Lush Button-Up Cowl in a rich purple hue. So cozy and luxe!
"Thank you for choosing my photo!!! I am so excited to have this opportunity to share my work with others who have the same passion as I do." -- Stephanie D. Pittsville, Wisconsin.
"The type of yarn used is Nob Hill Alpaca Charm; color is Aubergine.
I came across sweaterbabe.com and instantly fell in love with many of the patterns. I just started knitting and wanted to make a special Christmas gift for the girls in my life that I love most, my sisters.
When I saw the lush button up cowl I knew my sister would absolutely love it. So I went ahead and purchased the pattern without paying too much attention to the experience level.
After I purchased the pattern and was looking at it I thought 'oh no...what did I get myself into? I cannot do this!' BUT, the pattern was well written and with a little help from my knitting teacher I completed it without any tears or frustration, and it was only my third knitting project.
Best part of all is that my sister loves it!!! The pattern uses some very basic techniques (i.e. short rows, picking up stitches and knitting, button holes) along with some beautiful cable and lace stitch patterns.
It is very well written and easy to follow. I think it would be good for an experienced knitter who is looking for a quick project or someone who is looking to advance their knowledge of knitting skills. I know some people who have been knitting for years who are timid of cables and lace...I would encourage anyone who feels like this to make this cowl neck...the pattern includes a table to keep track of the row you are on along with clear instructions to make the cowl. Being a beginner knitter, I have learned so much while making this project and I highly recommend this pattern (and other sweaterbabe.com patterns) to anyone.
Thank you so much!!" -- Stephanie D.
