Hillside Blooms Shawlette
by SweaterBabe
I'm a knitter, not a gardener. But I still always appreciate the loveliness of flowers that bloom on a hillside.
This shawlette is a knitter's version of that flowering hillside. It starts with a graceful lace pattern that creates a very pretty scalloped edge.
As decreases are made in the pattern, the curved lines and eyelets create a row of tulips that curve along your shoulders. The knitting then transitions to Garter stitch, with gentle shaping worked with decreases and short rows.
The result is a stare-worthy shawlette to drape over your shoulders or wear artfully around your neck.
This project used only 2 hanks of the lovely Madelinetosh Tosh DK yarn. The color variations in this yarn work perfectly with the design. . . . >
